I charge according to industry standards, and my fee is negotiable to work within your budget.

Feature articles. Some articles may be as easy as doing a telephone interview and writing an article. Others require interviews with multiple people. Some articles are best written if I've had the opportunity to experience the subject matter in person, so travel must be considered. I want to write for you, and I want what I write to make your publication more desirable. That means I'll work within your budget if you will value my contribution to your publication. In other words, let's talk.

Press releases. Getting a message from a company or organization to the media, and ultimately to the public, requires a good understanding of how the process works. Publicity brings tremendous value to a company or organization. Telling your story in a compelling way requires know-how, and I know how. My objective is to get the most positive exposure possible for clients by telling their story. I’ll write your press release, deliver it to the right person at each media outlet, and follow up. While no one can guarantee the story will run, I do everything possible to make sure it does.

Website critique. When was the last time you read your own website? Have you carefully looked at each page? Are the facts still correct? Do the telephone numbers and email addresses still work? Do the links really link to something? Is the spelling and grammar correct? And does the copy clearly express what you want to convey? A comprehensive website critique can help you keep your business on track. A website can be a great tool for a business, or it can send the wrong message.

Editing. Basic line edits and proof reading to developmental editing. I have edited projects ranging from children’s books to novels, memoirs, creative non-fiction, as well as articles for medical journals.
